Three student teams present their projects at the iSDG Assembly in Shenzhen, China

August 2017

Three teams from the 2017 Biopolis Summer program — Allume Paris, BubbleBox, and PickMeUp — traveled to Shenzhen, China in late August to present their projects as part of a global summit of SDG-oriented summer schools.

The event was hosted by the Graduate School at Shenzhen Tsinghua University and featured the Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen as a keynote speaker.

Students shared their proposals at a public forum, brainstormed how to localize them in a Chinese context, interfaced with local students and visiting teams, and visited maker spaces and other industrial facilities across Shenzhen.
